KCGC Composite Course Wrap up

Another year and another Member rises to the occasion to claim the coveted tweed jacket after winning the Club’s US Masters / Composite Course.  Special mention to Club major Sponsor LAWN PRIDE AUSTRALIA for sponsoring the event – your ongoing support of the Club is appreciated. With the exclusion of the 8th hole due to green repairs, the 6th hole was brought into the rotation.  The composite course which includes 18 holes selected from the full course included many tees and pars never having been played by Members.  These include the 15th as a par 3 from behind the pump station for the gents which includes a full water carry, the 11th as a par 4, the 26th hole played from the 24th tee and the 20th hole played from the 27th tee.  It’s certainly a challenge and this year the Club had a full field taking it on.

Following a breakfast and watching Scheffler close out the Masters at Augusta, the group took to the Course and in the end it was Kade Walsh (pictured above) who came away with the win.  Kade shot an impressive 43 points and held off Darren Stewart with 41 points.  In the Ladies competition, Jeanette Giudice won with 37 points.

Congratulations Kade
