Update – Issued 11/3

Parts of the course were finally accessible this morning for the first time since late last week.
Unfortunately, significant flooding has impacted the course, with water only receding last night. This has resulted in widespread damage, including several large trees being brought down across fairways and playing surfaces. Several bridges remained underwater until late last night. Please refer to the attached photos for further details.
At this stage, the course will remain closed until Friday, when a further inspection will be conducted. While we are cautiously optimistic, the course remains extremely wet and largely inaccessible for maintenance staff and contractors. Additionally, a full safety assessment has not yet been completed, limiting our understanding of the full scope of damage and the necessary cleanup strategy.
The Club sincerely thanks the members who have already offered to volunteer with the cleanup. However, at this time, access remains unsafe due to wet conditions. We anticipate managing the cleanup using recently acquired machinery, which should expedite the process. With dry and windy weather expected in the coming days, we are hopeful for improved conditions.
On a positive note, the newly installed retaining wall on the 8th hole—although not yet completed—has withstood the conditions well and remains firmly in place.
On behalf of the Club, we hope all members and their families have remained safe during the challenging weather conditions brought by Cyclone Alfred, with minimal impact to their homes.
We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
Thank you for your patience and support.
