With restrictions being slowly removed, we are progressively moving back towards activities that somewhat resemble what we previously knew.
A review of Ladies & Gents fixtures has commenced, and where possible major events are being rescheduled. It is expected revised calendars will be issued next week.
Government announcements (Monday 1st June) allowed for more playing opportunities to be immediately added to the weekend booking sheets & playing opportunities for this coming weekend still exist, which is good news.
Furthermore, changes announced today (Friday 5th June) will now allow dual occupancy of golf carts. This applies to both privately owned & the Club’s cart fleet, these new conditions being adopted as of Saturday 6th June with rental costs returning to pre-COVID pricing.
With Clubhouse access limited to a maximum of 20 people, plus patrons required to be seated/table service only, the clubhouse will remain closed until stage 3 restrictions are introduced. While the period of closure remains, various Clubhouse repairs and maintenance tasks have commenced, which will extend to a review of the various designated smoking areas. Much of the repairs and maintenance is being funded via a $22,000 Grant which the Club received from Moreton Bay Regional Council & the support of our local Councillor, Matt Constance.
The Club would ask that Members remain diligent and only leave their vehicles 20 minutes prior to their tee time.
It is hoped everyone has a lovely weekend and good golfing.
