Club Championship Final Round/Rounds Update (Saturday 12th & 13th April)

We have once again been forced to look at a revised format for this year’s Gents and Women’s Club Championships. Changes to scheduled events, particularly, multi-round events are always problematic, and we appreciate that several members will always be adversely impacted by whatever decision is made.  While not an ideal outcome, completing the Championships is viewed as a priority.

  • The following events will now be played over 36 Hole:
  • A, B, C Grade Gents and Women’s Nett events. (*)
  • The B and C Grade Gents Gross. (**)
  • The Junior, Senior & Veteran Gross.(***)

(*) The Golf Australia Countback System (if required) will decide all ties.

(**) if tied, will result in a playoff, as determined by the Golf Operations Team.

(***) In the event that there is a tie after 36 holes, the winner will be determined over the final 18 holes on Sunday 13th of April. If still tied, The Golf Australia Countback System (if required) will be used for these events.

  • The A, B & C Grade Matchplay qualification will be determined over 36 holes, with the top 16 gross scores in each grade to qualify. The Golf Australia Countback System (if required) will decide all ties.
  • The Gents and Women’s Gross Championships will be played over 54 holes. The final round will be played on Sunday 13th April commencing at approximately 10:30am On the Old Course. There will be a 36 hole cut in the Gents A Grade, a maximum of 20 players (gross scores) will be invited to play the final round. The Women’s field will be a maximum of 8 players (gross scores) invited to play the final round. In the event of a tie, a playoff will decide the winner, as determined by the Golf Operations Team.
  • All tee times for Round 2 (Saturday 12th April) will remain as published on the Website.
  • The draw for the Final Round (Sunday 13th) will be loaded onto the website timesheet by 6pm Saturday 12th of April. Players are responsible for reviewing the Sunday Timesheet to confirm whether they have made the cut, and if so their scheduled tee time. Ladies Captains 4BBB Stroke Matchplay Final Results

Ladies Captains 4BBB Stroke Matchplay Final Results

It has been a drawn out process but we finally managed to get the Final of the Ladies Captains Event completed. Despite a sodden golf course, the match of Kathy Madden and Jackie Dowling versus Pam Lawrence and Jen Park was able to get underway yesterday morning. The match was a tight tussle throughout with Jen Park holing a crucial 8 foot putt on the 18th to send the match into extra holes. Alas for Jen and Pam, Kathy and Jackie were able to prevail on the 19th to secure the title.

Thankyou Ladies for your patience and willingness to work with the club to find an alternative date when the previous scheduled date was washed out.
