MAY Snapshot

COURSE NEWS

Members will have noticed that the RHS of the 10th fairway was recently top-dressed.  This was an area that was turfed approximately 12 months ago and did suffer due to the flooding experienced in January/February.  The area will remain GUR until further notice.

The Course Team has escalated the maintenance program on bunker drainage and over the past month has attended to 12 bunkers.

Preventative Spray Program will continue throughout the winter months.  This task is completed weekly early morning as well as occasional early evening after hours.

With the evening temperature dropping (falling below 15C), the dusting of Greens, will be minimal moving forward.  Although this activity is an essential task, the Club is sure the absence of sand from the greens will be welcomed.

The Team are revved up and striving to bring home the 2024 Pennant for Keperra!

The Keperra Ladies Sapphire Weekday Team had their first match at Virginia Golf Club on Friday 26 April. The Team unfortunately lost to Redcliffe (5 vs 2). They play their second match on Friday 3 May vs Sandgate at Wantima Golf Club. All the best ladies this week!

Asbestos Removal - Club Bar

There was some high-risk asbestos located at the back of the Bar's service area.  Consequently, the Club has addressed the issue, which involved the full removal.  It is anticipated that this work will be completed and have members back in the Main Bar by the end of the week.

Sponsor Spotlight - BOQ Aspley

BOQ Aspley - for all your banking needs both personal and business.

Recent testimonial from members of Keperra.

We've dealt with many big banks over the years where you are a customer number and it takes a lot of time and effort to talk to a real person.

Phil Carrington and Bank of Queensland Aspley have been the complete opposite. Phil took the time to understand our ideas and goals and has helped us to achieve these with the purchase of our first investment property. The process was tailored, easy and efficient. We have recommended Phil and his team to friends and family knowing they'll take care of you.

Michael and Jemma Leonard (Members Keperra Country Golf Club)

If Phil Carrington can assist you, family or friends please call on 0458 635 190.
